The Big Day

We will be getting married on Thursday 16th September 2010 at 4pm at

The Little Chapel of the Flowers.

We originally wanted to get married in the fairy lit gazebo outside, but they only do weddings here after 8pm and thats a bit too late for us.  Plus it might not be dark and then the fairy lights would be a bit pointless.

There are three chapels available but we wont be able to confirm which one until we have a rough idea of numbers.

The Magnolia Chapel

The Victorian Chapel

The La Capella Chapel

The chapel will collect Ian and I in a limo at our hotel and take us to the chapel.  We probably will travel there together and let everyone else make their own way via whatever mode of transport they want.

The wedding co ordinator will hand Linda and I our flowers and we are ready to go.  Im not really a big fan of flowers so I have gone for the basic flower package that the chapel provides.

Unfortunately the chapel only provides pictures of the actual ceremony.  Any additional pictures on the grounds cost extra and we are not permitted to have any of our guests take pictures or be in any pictures.

So after the ceremony the limo will take us to somewhere nice where we will meet our photographer.  We would appreciate if our guests would meet us there too so we can have some professional group pictures taken.

Once these pictures have been taken we will be getting into another limo and going on a tour of the strip with our photographer.  This is when we will have all of our couple pictures taken.  We are not the most romantic of couples, we enjoy going out for food and getting drunk.

Ian and I have a lot of fun together and I would like pictures that reflect that rather than fake pictures of us making goo goo eyes at each other.  I will need to get my thinking cap on, for ideas.

This will give our guests the opportunity to grab a bit to eat and freshen up in preparation for the celebrations.

At around 8pm we will meet our guests at Parasol Down at The Wynn for cocktails and champagne.  This is where I want the photographer to wander around taking natural pictures of our guests without them being really concious of his presence.

Once we've had a few drinks here we'll move on somewhere else.

Maybe we'll try to reserve a table at Blush in Wynn.

Or maybe somewhere a bit more light hearted and fun.  Like Kahunaville at Treasure Island.
