Wedding

Notifications

We are not formally inviting anyone.  So instead of save the dates and invitations, we will be sending out notifications.

I have bought these small notebooks from Muji.  They are exactly the same size and colour as passports.

I plan to cover them with a design similar to this but I havent thought about what yet.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 
On the first inside page I am going to put:

"As you will probably know by now, we're getting married in Las Vegas. 

We are not formally inviting anyone.  This is not because we dont love you or want you there, it is because we dont want to invite you and have you feel the financial pressure that this expectation would bring.

However if you happen to be in Vegas on the day of the wedding then feel free to come along.  Obviously we would be delighted if you were to attend and of course you can then help us celebrate afterwards.

We will be having a big party when we get home and we hope you will join us then also."

The back inside page or back cover will have a picture of us and date and time of the wedding.

I will have to think about what else to put in the passport.  I was thinking of using publisher and making some stamps up of all the places Ian and I have visited together.

 

RSVP

I will also need to think about what to do for an RSVP.  Was thinking of a boarding pass for that?

I know that we're not inviting anyone and therefore we should not expect anyone to RSVP, because we've basically said come if you want, however it would be good to have accurate numbers to give to the chapel. 

It would also be good in order for us to reserve a seating area for drinks after the wedding.

Out Of Town Bags

We would also like to give everyone an Out of Town Bag. 

This will include a variety of things that may come in handy in Las Vegas.

Although some of the things in the will be just for fun as a thank you for travelling to see us get married.

We will be having a big party when we get home.

 

Invitations

I havent thought about invitations for that yet.  Ians Mum and Aunt both make cards and his aunt had mentioned them making our wedding invitations.  So maybe............

 

 Favours

Favours for the girls will be traditional Bomboniere, with sugar almonds.  I like what they symbolise

Happiness

Longevity

Fertility

I might even attach a pretty label with those five words on it.

For the boys I think I will buy some dice and give each boy a small bag with two dice in it.  I might attach a label with something symbolic on that too.

Chocolate Keepsakes

I was also thinking of having a bowl of chocolate casino chips in the buffet room.  So that everyone can have something sweet with a cup of tea after the buffet or can take a keepsake home with them.
