Ian and Debbie are getting married.

IN LAS VEGAS!!!

How we met.

Having watched Celebrity Big Brother my sister Linda and I became fans of Maggot from Goldie Looking Chain. As a result we bought tickets to a GLC gig at the Carling Academy on 20th February 2006.

To be honest I really couldnt be bothered going and given the tickets only cost about £12 each I really thought about cutting my loses and not going.

However I must have had a feeling something was going to happen that night and I went anyway.

Ian was at that same gig with Macca, Johnny and Stevie D. They all had the next day off work and had arranged for a taxi to pick them up in Glasgow at 2am so they were eager to find a night club to finish their night in. And thats how they met, the guys were looking for somewhere to go on a Monday night in Glasgow and they all got talking.

Linda and I recommended the Garage and because I hadnt been drinking and had the car with me I offered to give them a lift. However trying to fit 5 passengers in a Corsa was quite difficult so we all split up and arranged to meet in town. I drove Ian into Glasgow and although he was rather drunk we got on quite well.

We all had a fun night in the Garage dancing the night away. Ian and I exchanged numbers and the boys went one way and we went another.

The next day I recieved a text message from Ian asking how I was and we arranged a date for that very same day.

So having met at a Goldie Looking Chain gig Ian and I went to Ashton Lane on their first date.

Engagement.

Our engagement came around quite naturally. We were already living together so I think it was really just the next step.

We had spoken about getting engaged and we had been and looked at some rings. I am really really fussy and very difficult to buy for so I showed Ian four rings that I liked, tried them all on and he chose the one he prefered.

So really he picked the ring.

One Monday evening I came home from work and Ian was lying on the sofa lounging around. I was starving and headed straight for the kitchen for something to eat. Whilst I was in the kitchen Ian shouted through and asked me to bring him a biscuit, I opened the cupboard door to find the ring box open next to a piece of paper with a big question mark written on it.

I have to say, I had mentioned that I didnt want a big public grand gesture proposal and Ian didnt let me down. This proposal was so low key that it took me totally by surprise. I screamed and of course said yes.

Around the same time we got engaged I was having a really hard time and Ian was there for me 100%. I honestly dont think I could ever meet anyone who is as supportive as Ian. Of course we have had some rough times but we have came out the other end stronger.

So here we are, planning a Fabulous Las Vegas Wedding.
